When you are visiting Kollum and surroundings, you sometimes need a doctor. Huisartsenpraktijk J. de Waard can provide incidental healthcare for visitors during office hours. Jan de Waard and Ans Tiessen are general practicioners. If necessary they refer to a hospital for further diagnostics and treatment. If you bring your passport and your European  Health Insurance Card then the GP-costs will be charged to your insurance company.
